The Cosmic Dust project focuses on the cosmochemical study of two unique collections of cosmic dust - the Transantarctic Mountain collection and the DUSTER (Dust in the Upper Stratosphere Tracking Experiment and Retrieval) collection - to explore the composition of the dust complex in the inner Solar System (seen from Earth as the zodiacal cloud). Field work is carried out within the framework of the Italian Programma Nazionale delle Ricerche in Antartide (PNRA).
The project is funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research (MIUR).
